The Neumann MA 1 is a precision alignment microphone designed for use with Neumann’s DSP-powered studio monitors, including the KH 80 DSP, KH 120 II, KH 150, and KH 750 DSP. In combination with the included Neumann Automatic Monitor Alignment (MA 1) software, it enables accurate, automatic room calibration for perfectly balanced monitoring in any acoustic environment.

Developed in collaboration with Fraunhofer IIS, the MA 1 system performs detailed acoustic measurements using the included high-accuracy omnidirectional measurement microphone. The software then applies precise DSP-based correction filters directly to compatible Neumann monitors via network connection, optimizing frequency and phase response for your specific room and listening position.

This system ensures true-to-source monitoring, improving translation between rooms and greatly enhancing mixing accuracy. The MA 1 is essential for professional engineers, studios, and producers using Neumann’s DSP monitor ecosystem.
