Epiphone EIGSGS-EB SG Standard Ebony

Description

The Epiphone EIGSGS-EB SG Standard Ebony electric guitar brings the legendary SG design to players seeking classic style and powerful tone. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, this refreshed model combines traditional construction with modern reliability. Furthermore, its striking Ebony finish gives the guitar a bold appearance that stands out on stage.
The contoured double-cutaway mahogany body creates the foundation for the guitar’s distinctive sound and feel. Mahogany delivers warmth, strong midrange character, and impressive sustain. Additionally, the double-cutaway design provides unimpeded access to all 22 frets. Players can therefore reach higher notes comfortably while enjoying the familiar SG playing experience.
A glued-in mahogany neck further supports the guitar’s renowned sustain. The SlimTaper C profile offers a fast-playing feel for different playing styles. Meanwhile, the bound rosewood fretboard provides a smooth playing surface. Its 12-inch radius supports comfortable first-position chords and helps prevent fretting out during string bends.
The fretboard also features 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid trapezoid inlays. A Graph Tech nut works alongside Grover Rotomatic tuning machines to support solid tuning stability. Furthermore, the LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece provide reliable intonation and string support.
The electronics feature a pair of acclaimed Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers. The ProBucker 2 occupies the neck position, while the hotter ProBucker 3 powers the bridge. Consequently, players can access warm, detailed neck tones and stronger bridge sounds.
Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls with CTS potentiometers. The Epiphone three-way toggle switch also allows players to select either pickup or combine both. Therefore, musicians can shape their sound for different songs and playing situations.
The Epiphone EIGSGS-EB SG Standard Ebony combines classic design, versatile electronics, and reliable hardware. Finally, Epiphone includes a premium gig bag to help protect the guitar during travel and storage.
