Scope and privacy contact
This notice covers personal information handled through the ProSoundHub website, orders, quotations and customer enquiries. Send privacy requests to info@prosoundhub.co.za, with Privacy in the subject line. Please provide enough information to identify the relevant record, but do not send banking passwords, card security codes or one-time passwords.
Information we use
An order or quotation can include your name, email address, telephone number, delivery or billing address, business details, products, payment reference and correspondence. If you create an account, account and order records are stored. Website requests also provide technical information such as IP address, browser details and security logs. You can browse without placing an order; information necessary to answer a request or deliver goods is needed when you ask for those services.
Purposes and sharing
We use relevant information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, process payments and orders, arrange delivery, provide after-sales support, prevent misuse and meet legal record-keeping duties. Access is limited to those who need the information for these purposes, including hosting and email providers, delivery partners, banking services and suppliers assisting with fulfilment or warranty claims. We do not sell customer personal information. Providers processing information outside South Africa must be subject to the protections required by applicable law.
Cookies and external services
The WordPress and WooCommerce store uses cookies or similar storage for functions such as sign-in, basket sessions and preferences. Blocking these in your browser can prevent checkout or account functions from working. WhatsApp links open an external service operated by Meta; using that service is also subject to its privacy terms. Non-essential advertising or analytics tools, when introduced, must be disclosed and use any required consent controls. This notice does not treat a purchase as blanket consent to unrelated marketing.
Retention and protection
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, lawful accounting or tax requirements, warranty support or dispute handling. Records no longer required are deleted or de-identified where appropriate. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are required, although no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private and notify us if you suspect unauthorised use.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your information, object to processing where applicable, or withdraw consent for consent-based processing. We may need proportionate verification before releasing or changing records. A legal retention obligation can prevent immediate deletion of some information. You may opt out of direct marketing without losing transactional order updates. If a concern is unresolved, you may complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. Changes to this notice will be dated on this page.
